- With this white number, a white floral overlay, cap-sleeved scoop dress, subtle makeup is the key. The same goes for the dusty pink, sexy knit dress ahead. Find dresses to match subtle day makeup at Amiclubwear to complete that clean spring/summer vibe for 2012.
- You’ll need the right makeup applicators to enhance your features without the help of a pro. Always keep in mind that when applying makeup you should find an area with good lighting to help you work with your natural color.
How to create day makeup for spring/summer 2012?
- What tools do you use?
- Tweezers
- Eyebrow pencil in a shade that matches your hair color
- Pink or peach blush
- Tinted moisturizer or foundation
- Lip conditioner
- Eye shadow in an earth color like brown
- Liquid liner
- Mascara
Subtle makeup leaves you with a healthy glow aimed at a fresh and clean look. Start off with a clean face. Apply tinted moisturizer with SPF, or you can use a foundation, but make sure to choose a shade that's closest to your skin color. If you're acidic, choose a lighter shade as it darkens when applied. Tweeze your eyebrows if needed, and line with a pencil to look sleek, or an eye shadow to look more natural. Follow the shape of your brows.

Apply brown eye shadow only until the crease of your eye, but make sure to blend well with an eye shadow brush to create a sfumato (the blurring or softening of sharp outlines) effect. Line your eyes with a liquid liner, and add mascara. Make sure to curl your eyelashes to give you that wide-awake look. If you're looking for the best eyelash curler, invest in Shu Uemura.
On your cheeks, apply a pink or peach blush, choose from cream, gel or powder blushes, but my best bet is still NARS Orgasm. Glide on a lip conditioner over your puckers (to avoid chapped lips) before applying your lipstick. Think pink or peach; MAC’s Please Me, Chatterbox, Overtime and Angel are nice, creamy shades to try. When going for a peach shade, I personally prefer Shu Uemura in Darling Beige, NARS in Barbarella, and MAC’s To the Future. Lastly, seal lipstick with a lipstick sealer (this is optional).Photo Credits: eyeshadowlipstick.com
- Go for a pop of color on lips for daytime. I prefer that you accent your lips rather than eyes to avoid the club/party look. Choose from countless lipstick shades for an interesting color that will pop. Try MAC’s Iris Apfel Collection.

- This sexy black number from Amiclubwear is THE sexy bet, and is best when paired with a pop of color. Try orange, hot pink, or red lipstick. The sizzling colors will go a long way.
- Dewy Makeup is supposed to look radiant, glowing, and shiny, but never oily.

- A mustard dress looks good with dewy makeup. How to achieve dewy makeup? You’ll need a moisturizer, loose powder, and an illuminator like Benefit’s High Beam. Apply the moisturizer, line your brows, color your eyes with neutral eye shadow, set moisturized face with loose powder, and glide on the illuminator. Your skin will certainly look flawlessly beautiful!
