Glam Up with Lace this Fall

- Lace has been around for quite a while. Some of its early users were Egyptian Pharoahs and Romans. Since then, lace has been part of the world’s tradition, and today’s modern fashion and culture are no exception. Runway shows this fall featured clothing and accessories adorned with lace. And designers seem to be taking lace fashion to a much different level, with bolder choices in their artistic interpretations.
- This fall, lace takes on a more feminine and romantic trend, infusing the sweet with something darker and sexy. Designers like Jason Wu and Erdem went for lace-appliquéd pieces.
- Lace-infused trench coats, flirty tops, and dresses make wonderfully sexy nighttime pieces, just like this peplum top with lace sleeves from Topshop or this Erdem classic trench with lace details.
- Black lace appliquéd silk-chiffon dresses in solid fall colors also prove to be hot pieces this season. Wear one with a pair of heels and a black blazer and you’re ready for some nighttime fun.
- Lace embellishments in neutral colored sweaters can successfully exude that romantic appeal you’re going for in your ensemble. Don some dark colored slacks, some dark pumps or stilettos, and a blazer and you’re fashionably ready for a day at work. Gearing up for casual Fridays? Try on the same lace-embellished sweater but this time, wear a pair of dark or earth toned ankle boots and a dark pair of jeans for a casual but tougher look.

It’s lace done right as it is lace grown-up style, not lace girly stuff. If you want something sexier, go for more romantic colors and a sexier silhouette like the red strapless lace dress worn by Emma Roberts.

For those of you who are not too sure how to go about the lace trend, try to infuse a small amount of it in your choice of ensemble by adding some lacey accessories. Going out on cold day this fall? Why not wear a lace and cashmere scarf like this one from Valentino or this one from BCBG?
http://www.shefinds.com/ - You can also wear lace on your feet like these embellished lace loafers from Valentino or this pair of Jimmy Choo pumps. If you’d like to go bolder, put on some lacy boots like this pair of Dolce & Gabbana ankle boots.

From the mild and flirty to the daring and sexy – lace is very much visible and in style this fall. Try and mix this romantic trend into your wardrobe by choosing pieces that will best exude your character, mood, and style.
