- Lilac
Lilac looks great on pale skin, and is a very interesting color for spring. OPI’s Do you Lilac It got a thumbs up for its gorgeous shade with an underlying grey tone.

If you’re the type who prefers less color, but still wants to look chic, then nude nail paint is for you. Although nude or beige goes well with all skin tones, try to choose a shade closest to your complexion.
For cool undertones, you can try Chanel’s Particuliere Nail Lacquer, NARS Bad Influence, and Zoya’s Spring Collection in Cho.
This particular shade is similar to NARS Bad Influence. The color has an elegant feel to it, with taupe, and an underlying grey tone. I’d say it’s a good neutral brown nail polish.

On the other hand, NARS Opaque nail polish in Bad Influence, as described in its website, “is a smoky taupe, and is chip resistant, dries fast and leaves the nails smooth and shiny.”
- Zoya’s shade in Cho gives you that wonderful buttery color with a mix of platinum. It also looks like it’s barely there, leaving you with clean-looking, polished nails.

Coral
Coral reminds me so much of Laduree’s Special Edition Macarons for Valentines. It is a vibrant, bubbly, and happy color that you can wear throughout the year. Coral nail paints such as Essie Tart Deco, and Chanel La Vernis in June and Orange Fizz are this season’s must-haves for coral fanatics.
- Essie Tart Deco is a gorgeous, bright color with hints of creamy orange, while Chanel’s Orange Fizz is a mix of coral, orange and pink. These shades complement fair tones. Chanel’s June on the other hand has a nice, creamy apricot shade that goes well with all skin tones.

Little details do matter, so pay close attention to your nails. When going out on a date, or a job interview, avoid using dark colors. Instead, show your feminine side by painting your nails with a sheer, soft pink polish. I find that it’s also a great alternative for the French Manicure.Fall in love with Orly’s Spring Collection Cool Romance for 2012. Enjoy the romantic pink hues that epitomize femininity. Orly’s Artificial Sweetener will remind you of cotton candy, a mix of soft pink and old rose with a bit of shimmer. Prelude to a Kiss is a pale pink with more of a peach shade. It will look fabulous and classy on olive skin tones.
