The Perks of Color Block Shoes
Color block shoes are a great way to jump into the popular color block trend feet first…literally!! Done correctly these colorful shoes are equal parts stunning and bold. With such vibrant hues these heels are perfect for summer!! They can instantly take a plain outfit from drab to fab!
The major reason why I love shoes with several colors in them is because it gives me more opportunities to wear them! Some people may think that this loud form of footwear can only be paired with neutral outfits of black, white or nude. While these statement shoes do look amazing with such outfits they can also compliment a more complex look as well.

- Take these turquoise, blue and pink pumps for example. They would surely add a pop of color to a neutral monochromatic look but they can easily be added to something a little more fun. When making an outfit around the shoes I like to pick one of the colors in the shoe to focus on. Since I love pink I may pair this heel with my favorite pink dress. Even though there is only a small pop of pink in the shoe it is just enough to tie together the look. If you want to tie things together even more you can accessorize with complimentary bangles or a purse! Try not to overdo it though! You don't need to have every color in your outfit that is on the shoe.
- Tangerine is a VERY popular color this season! If wearing orange denim or a dress is too bold for you then ease into this trendy color with accessories! These citrus heels will gladly add a sunny pop of color to your outfit.
- Purple and pink are two of my favorite colors and now they are together at last!! These shoes will spice up my favorite LBD for a sassy night out and they even go great with my white and pink floral dress for afternoon shopping and lunch! Remember that you don't necessarily HAVE to wear any of the colors in your heels. As long as you stick to one or two complimentary colors the options are endless! I just LOVE these with my mint jeans and white tank!
- Also, keep in mind that color blocking works well with patterns too. It is definitely a bit more daring but you can easily rock a patterned dress with these shoes. As long as one of the colors from the shoes is in the dress you are good to go!
- Here is a more discreet form of color blocking. I love just about anything neon right now so I think these sandals are just TOO CUTE!!!
